Council on Accreditation
Youth In Need is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family service and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. In order to achieve COA accreditation, an organization must meet a rigorous list of service and administration standards, ensuring that the organization’s clients receive the highest quality of care.
United Way of Greater St. Louis
Youth In Need is a member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis and is a recipient of the United Way's highest possible quality rating.
Better Business Bureau

Monsanto Fund Science Discovery Garden
The National Gardening Association named Youth In Need's Monsanto Fund Science Discovery Garden as one of the best 50 top new children's gardens in the country in 2008. Youth In Need’s garden was chosen from more than 700 inspiring and impressive children’s gardens across the country to receive the prestigious award.
National Association for the Education of Young Children
Youth In Need's Troy, Campus and Warrenton Head Start Centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Staff Awards
- Jim Braun, Youth In Need's President and CEO, received the National Network for Youth's Executive Leadership Award of Excellence in 2008. The award is given annually to a National Network member organization in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of youth services consistent with the mission and guiding principles of the National Network.
- Pat Holterman-Hommes, Senior Vice President of Youth Programs, received the Saint Charles Business Magazine's Dove Award for Community Enrichment in 2006.
- Kevin Coleman, Youth In Need's Street Outreach Manager, received the National Network for Youth's Youth Worker of the Year Award in 2007.
