Melissa Chambers has joined Youth In Need’s executive management team as the agency’s Vice President, Head Start East. Chambers will oversee Youth In Need’s St. Louis City Head Start and Early Head Start program, which serves nearly 650 children from birth to age 5 and their families with early childhood development services.
“We are so fortunate to have someone with Melissa’s experience to oversee our early childhood program in St. Louis City,” said Tricia Topalbegovic, Youth In Need’s Chief Program Officer. “Her extensive Head Start and Early Head Start background, coupled with her ability to develop a strong team of staff will be a tremendous asset to the children and families Youth In Need serves.”
Chambers has 15 years of experience in early childhood education, including 12 years with Head Start and Early Head Start. Her professional expertise includes system development, program management, staff development and grant writing. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
