Foster Care & Adoption

Youth In Need, along with two other organizations (Family Resource Center and Epworth Children & Family Services) form the Children’s Permanency Partnership (CPP). In 2005, Missouri awarded CPP a foster care contract. Youth In Need provides foster care and adoption case management services to children in alternative care and their families. Family Case Managers work intensively with children and families to address issues that led to out-of-home placement, and to secure stable and safe, permanent living situations for each child. Permanency plans may include reunification with biological parents, kinship care, adoption or an alternative arrangement, such as independent living. The program serves children, ages birth to 18, living in St. Charles County and St. Louis City.

Eligibility, Enrollment and Cost

All children are referred through the Missouri Department of Social Services – Children’s Division.
