Celebrating 50 Years in 2024!

Youth In Need is 50 years old in 2024! And while we are so very proud of our longevity and growth, we are even more proud of the hundred of thousands of lives that we’ve helped along the way. We are also equally excited about empowering our region’s children and youth for the next 50 years! 

Youth In Need has always been forward looking from the very beginning when the founders took to calling our first youth shelter the “run-to” home instead of a runaway house. Today, our focus is on helping our clients find safety, build hope and create success not just for today or tomorrow but for life—whether that’s through our residential youth programs, foster care case management, homeless street outreach, early childhood education, or our school- and office-based counseling.
