Youth In Need Celebrates the NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child

Join us this week in celebrating Week of the Young Child—a fun-filled week celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, families and communities!

Each April, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) invites educators, families and communities to come together for the Week of the Young Child® (WOYC)—a joyful celebration of early learning, young children and the adults who support them. Through themed days like Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday and Artsy Thursday, WOYC highlights the critical role of play, creativity and collaboration in a child’s development.

This week shines a light on how important quality early childhood education is. We’re celebrating with a packed week of fun activities at all of Youth In Need’s Early Learning Programs!

With each themed day designed to spark joy and connection, we invite you to continue the fun at home with your little one.

Join Us for Bingo Night!

Youth In Need Earns 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplaces Award and Culture Excellence Recognition

Youth In Need is proud to announce that it has earned the prestigious 2026 “USA TODAY” Top Workplaces award, as well as Culture Excellence awards for Appreciation, Compensation & Benefits and more!

These awards honor organizations with 150 or more employees that have created exceptional, people-first cultures. This year, more than 40,500 organizations were invited to participate. The winners are recognized for their commitment to fostering a workplace environment that values employee listening and engagement. “USA TODAY” showcased the winners online and at the National Awards Summit in Nashville.

The winners are determined by authentic employee feedback captured through a confidential survey based on employee responses to statements about Workplace Experience Themes.

“Earning a USA TODAY Top Workplaces award is a testament to an organization’s credibility and commitment to a people-first culture,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage.

Youth In Need Programs Come Together for Child Advocacy Day

Last month, our Youth Programs and Early Learning Programs united in Jefferson City for Child Advocacy Day! It was an amazing day full of inspiring speakers and opportunities to discuss the needs of our youth with Missouri legislators. Advocating alongside other amazing changemakers was truly an honor!

We were honored to work alongside Kids Win Missouri—an organization that advocates for policies that support the health, education, safety and development of children and their families, especially those who are at risk.
