Golfing for Youth Raises More Than $150,000

Earlier this month, we hosted our 28th annual Golfing for Youth Benefit Tournament, presented by DRN | MVTRAC | SCM, and it was a success!
It was a great day of hitting the greens, connecting with wonderful community members and raising money for the youth and families that Youth In Need serves!
We want to give a special thanks to everyone who made it such a terrific day, from our hardworking volunteers and generous sponsors to all of our golfers! We saw those swings, and you are on your way to going pro—not only in the sport, but in supporting your community as well. Your support and generosity helped us raise more than $150,000 to help transform the lives of youth and families who need us most.
Celebrating 35 Years of Heart Work from President and CEO Pat Holterman-Hommes

Join us in recognizing and celebrating the 35th anniversary of Youth In Need’s President and CEO Pat Holterman-Hommes!
Pat continually inspires us with her dedication to not only Youth In Need but also to our mission at large. She actively serves on several boards and councils, advocates for equitable opportunities at a national level and represents the needs of vulnerable youth on various committees—all to support the safety, hope and success of children, youth and families.
Pat’s vision, passion and wisdom has shaped and empowered both Youth In Need and our entire community in tremendous ways, forever changing lives for the better.
Pat, thank you for who you are and how you lead. We could not ask for a more extraordinary example of what it means to do the “heart work.”
Youth In Need Wins Top Workplaces Industry Award
We are thrilled to announce that Youth In Need has been honored with a prestigious 2025 Top Workplaces Nonprofit award!

These awards are based on feedback from a research-backed employee engagement survey, which means we extend a huge thanks to our staff. Your valuable feedback played a pivotal role in securing this recognition!

Senior Director of Youth Programs Receives Award for Collaborative Approach

Last month, The National Safe Place Network held its youth service professionals conference, Focus 2025. The event is designed to inspire, connect and equip youth service professionals with the tools to create lasting impact.
During the conference, National Safe Place Network awarded Erin Strohbehn, Youth In Need’s Senior Director of Youth Programs, with the Together We Can Award. The award “recognizes individuals who go the extra mile to share resources, knowledge and experiences with others to ensure the delivery of quality and consistent services to youth and families in need.”
Congratulations, Erin! Your dedication to helping youth and families is inspiring, and we are honored to have you as part of the Youth In Need family.
Fairy Tales Can Come True 2025 — See What’s Growing On at UCCC!

The newest addition to Youth In Need’s Early Learning Programs—University City Children’s Center—is celebrating the new school year, and you’re invited to get involved!
Each year, Fairy Tales Can Come True has raised support for UCCC’s tuition assistance program. Today, more than half of UCCC families benefit from tuition assistance, creating a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
This year, Fairy Tales Can Come True is more than just one magical evening—it’s a yearlong story. As we enter the 2025–2026 school year, sponsorships help provide life-changing access to UCCC’s emotionally responsive, dynamic-playing, garden-growing, inclusive education for more than 200 children across more than 30 St. Louis area zip codes.
Your support not only helps children thrive but also gives you a firsthand look at what’s growing on at UCCC through special invitations to some of our favorite celebrations throughout the year. Get involved today at the link below!
