Empowering North St. Louis Neighborhoods at the Northside Trap Run

Youth In Need’s Diversity Council—a committee of staff members dedicated to putting Youth In Need’s commitment to inclusivity into action for both the organization and the community at large—recently participated in the Northside Trap Run, hosted by Northside Community Housing, Inc.

The Northside Trap Run is one of the ways that Northside Community Housing, Inc. aims to provide resources, affordable housing and thriving community to North St. Louis, an area that has historically been underserved.

It was a great day filled with running, discussing our programs and connecting with our community in The Ville!

Youth In Need Welcomes Coro Fellow Aubrey Lay

Meet Aubrey Lay, a Coro Fellow from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, who is joining Youth In Need for the first sector in his Coro Fellowship program!

Aubrey is originally from Maryland and has a strong passion for education and developing strong personal connections. “There’s such breadth, yet such depth at Youth In Need. I’m looking forward to learning how an organization like Youth In Need manages so many different programs successfully!”

Coro is a community-based leadership training program that offers experiential learning in multiple sectors to further develop a fellow’s knowledge, skills and networks, preparing them for effective and ethical leadership.

We are so excited to have Aubrey on board!
